IMPaCT is the Precision Medicine Infrastructure associated with Science and Technology established by the Carlos III Health Institute to facilitate the effective deployment of Precision Medicine within the National Health System.
It's structured around three programs that serve as the cornerstone for a coordinated integration of complementary research projects within the field of Precision Medicine.

To establish the pillars to facilitate the effective deployment of Precision Medicine within the National Health System, ensuring scientific-technical quality, equity, and efficiency in utilizing available scientific resources to meet the needs of the population.
To establish itself as a scientific reference infrastructure for the advancement of Precision Medicine in Spain, aiming for a safer, more efficient, preventive, and predictive healthcare system.
IMPaCT operates under the premise of ensuring the highest scientific-technical quality in all actions, as a necessary element to achieve the proposed objectives.
Scientific integrity is intrinsic to research activities and science, serving as the foundation for credibility and society's trust. IMPaCT integrates the principles of scientific integrity into all its processes as a key value.
IMPaCT incorporates a gender perspective in organizational procedures, methodological design and data analysis, as well as in the presentation and dissemination of results.
The information, data, metadata, and scientific products generated within IMPaCT will strive for open access, aiming to make science more accessible, efficient, democratic, and transparent.
Equity in access, both to the services provided and the achieved outcomes and generated knowledge, is a key element of IMPaCT. Processes are established to ensure equity from geographical, social, and access-to-science and knowledge perspectives.
IMPaCT promotes the responsible use of public resources through economies of scale, human capital cooperation, and the integration of infrastructures within a distributed organization with unified governance.
IMPaCT follows RRI principles in all its actions. In addition to what has been mentioned, it establishes responsible governance with shared responsibility among stakeholders and institutions.
Citizen participation is a core element for IMPaCT throughout the entire value chain; it's present in the conceWPion, development, and dissemination of its lines of action.
